In Rwanda, I fulfilled multiple roles across both technical and organizational development. As a Training of Trainers advisor for the TEVSA, I contributed to the development of the Centre of Excellence for electricity, acting as the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electricity, and was partially involved in establishing the Centre of Excellence for construction. In this capacity, I provided technical leadership on content development, supported the design of training infrastructure and programs, coordinated inputs from technical experts, and ensured alignment with national priorities and sector needs.
A significant part of my work focused on the organizational development of TEVSA, supporting its transition into a learning organization capable of adapting to future challenges. This included facilitating strategic planning processes, strengthening internal systems and structures, supporting staff capacity development, and contributing to sustainable operational and knowledge-sharing practices.
In parallel, I worked as a technical teaching and pedagogical advisor for more than 100 technical colleges across the country. I delivered training in Competency-Based Learning (CBL) and practical skills to university-trained teachers, while coordinating training delivery, adapting content to diverse institutional contexts, and monitoring progress and outcomes. This work evolved into the development of a state-recognized teacher training system, including the design of curricula, training methodologies, assessment frameworks, and alignment with national education standards.
